4 Things you Need to Know About
Inflatable Water Slides

As kids become accustomed to more sophisticated toys and devices, often a simple backyard won't occupy them for long. You can always bring the family to a water theme park, but that costs a lot of money. If you had a large pool, and a large backyard, you could have an actual water slide constructed, but that costs a lot of money. Instead, one product that's quickly becoming popular are inflatable water slides. Here's four things you should know about them, before you go out and look to buy one for your own home.
First, it's easy to see how inflatable water slides can be a great investment for your kids and family. They aren't very expensive, easy to setup, and can bring a lot of joy to you and your guests. These come in many different models, and before you buy one, you should investigate what models and brands are available. Some are single slides, but there's also double slides, which can be a better choice if you expect a lot of people will suddenly become interested in coming to your backyard. Some of these slides are fairly tall too, and can provide a much better thrill, which will ensure that people will keep coming back.
Before you even consider buying one however, you should make sure you have the needed space. Typically, a standard backyard is fine for a normal slide, but some of the bigger models require more space. You should always make sure there's enough free space all around the location where the slide will go. Also, your backyard should be fenced, just like if you were building a pool. This helps prevent any potential accident, and make sure the whole terrain will be safe for kids to play in. Plus, remember that you need a water hose long enough to get to the slide.
When you're out to buy the actual slide, you should pay particular attention to the quality of the slide. These things are inflated, so any leak or breakage would be catastrophic for the whole structure. Some brands used reinforced fibers that ensure there will be no problem with air escaping from the slide. The best thing to do here is to read reviews about the specific models, and see which ones people have had luck with.
Finally, always make sure that safety is always kept in mind when putting up inflatable water slides. You should always read the instructions so that you know exactly how to set it up in a secure manner. When you have people over, make sure there's adequate supervision. And when summer ends, and the temperature becomes too cold, these slides are meant to be stored away, so don't delay to remove it, and store it in a dry, warm location, so it doesn't suffer any damage due to harsh weather. Overall, having such a tool in your backyard will ensure your house's popularity, as long as you keep these tips in mind.

The first one is the Sportcraft SpongeBob and Friends water slide. Like the name says, it's a slide that has the popular children show featured. In fact, it's more than a simple slide, it's an entertainment center. The whole item isn't all that big, but still manages to feature two slides along with a small pool of water at the bottom. There's also large representation of Spongebob characters at the top. There's no question that this slide is aimed at young kids, and provides a very thematic experience. The price is also fairly decent for what you get, and there's no doubt that any kid will enjoy his or her time in this. We found this listed at Amazon.com for $389.95 |

The second product is the Kidwise Endless Fun 11-in-1 Bounce House, which is another mouth full to describe something that's more like a mini water park than a single slide. This one is bigger, yet only has one slide. But the pool at the bottom is much spacier, and it also has additional room for games, people sitting down, and places to play. The bigger slide will serve both young and older kids, and provide a longer entertainment value to your children. However, the price is also higher as a consequence. We found this listed at Walmart.com for $649.00. |

The Blast Zone Pirate Bay slide is another thematic slide, featuring pirates, although the only indication of that is the multiple signs spread around this inflatable water area, saying it's a pirate slide. There's no model ship, or even flag, although there are two water canon. This product also features a single slide, along with a bigger pool, and a playground area. Again, this is clearly aimed at younger kids, and can provide some fun time at a decent price. We found this listed at Walmart.com for $499.99. |

The Blast Zone Great White is a fairly simple slide compared with the previous models. In fact, it's a single slide, with no pool or play area. But, the slide itself is slightly larger, and the top features an enclosed area. This also means that older kids may not actually fit inside of it. At the price, it's a harder proposition, and only works if you just need a slide. We found this listed at Amazon.com for $399.99 |
Overall, all of these models can work fine for your own backyard or park area, and can provide hours of fun to kids, young and old, depending on the model you go for. Finally, we don't endorse any of these inflatable water slides, this is just a brief comparison of four models. Please note that all of these prices are subject to change.
